A Perfect Storm of Excuses

As ever I am late updating, thanks to a perfect storm of distractors: the end of the school year, which means I help my girlfriend (a teacher) mark and add her exams; rehearsals for a production of Much Ado About Nothing on the Rothesay Common in a couple of weeks; and the World Cup. And while the marking is now done, the other two activities will only intensify until the end of the first full week of July; after which we are going to Toronto for a week.

So basically, updates will be even more sporadic than usual between now and mid-July. I do apologize and promise to return to a weekly update with a vengeance once I am back from the big smoke. Thank you for your patience and watch for new episode later this week.

Episode 9 is late!

But what else is new? On the bright side, it is all pencilled, and I might even be able to finish it up tonight. We'll see. I think you will agree that it was worth the wait. And besides, it's OK to be late- Joe Zabel says so!

It's been a busy time. Entropia is now affiliated with a number of third party sites that rank or promote comics, as well as the aforementioned Flak magazine, and now LiveJournal, where I have had an account for years but had let it languish for a while. So if you're on LiveJournal too, add me to your friends list!

I don't know what's going on over at Clickwheel, but my downloads exploded over the weekend, going from about 85 in a few weeks to 186 in one day. That's pretty cool, thanks to whoever is enjoying my comic on their iPod(s). I am kind of keen to update my own iPod (a first generation) so I can do the same with other peoples'.

That's about it for now, watch for Episode 9 on a tell-o-vision near you soon.

Episode 8 is up!

At last. Sorry for the delay, everyone.

I am pleased to announce that Entropia has just been added to the Sunday Comics page of a cool online magazine called Flak. You can read it at flakmag.com.

And now, back at it so I can try to be on time for next week. :P

Late Again

..mainly because of being even later last week. 2 of the 3 panels of Episode 8 are done, so hopefully I should be able to finish the other and get the strip posted tonight. The production will be a little dodgy for the next 6 weeks or so as I have been cast in a small role in a local production of Much Ado About Nothing, which means rehearsals and performances will eat up some drawing time; and when that is over, I'm going to Toronto for about a week. I will do my best to stay on schedule.

In other news, RIP to the late great Alex Toth, who passed away over the weekend. Toth was a true original in the worlds of comics and animation, doing memorable work for DC and creating or developing stuff like Space Ghost and Super Friends, as well as the American content of Battle of the Planets. Some handsome retrospectives of his work have been published recently, I recommend you check them out.

Episode 7 is up!

Yes, it's late, but on the bright side, my heroic struggle with illness bought me enough time to fix a couple of site layout bugs that IE for PCs was having. So if the site looks weird, hit "reload" and hopefully it will be ok. If not, do use the comments to let me know, won't you?

As always, the commentary is up at the forums and the entire comic so far can be viewed commercial-free at the Flash site. You can also download it for your iPod at Clickwheel using the little button at the bottom of the screen. However you see Entropia, I hope you enjoy it.
